Bill Ratcliffe is a 3rd generation landscape photographer born and raised in shadow of the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah. From an early age he gained an appreciation for the natural beauty of his surroundings constantly going on camping and backpacking trips while in his youth. Gaining his first camera at a young age he dismissed following in his grandfather's and father's footsteps until about 10 years ago. His grandfather showed him an image of a "star trail." At that point, curiosity was raised and he became hooked on watching the stars and the night sky. Within a few years, he had his own cameras and was experimenting with night photography. Since then he's developed a love for all sorts of outdoor and landscape photography recalling on past experiences as a youth and hoping through a photograph that he can capture that same awe-inspiring feeling.
